Our marrone is characterized by a peel that comes off easily from the fruit and is a reddish brown in color with marked darker streaks. The pulp is sweet and tasty with an external surface almost completely free of grooves.

The harvest is done by hand in October in our IGP and organic certified marroni groves in Castel del Rio.

All the processes are carried out on the farm using a short supply chain, zero-miles, from harvesting to sorting, processing, and packaging. This ensures the excellent quality of our marroni and complete respect for the environment, also using renewable energy.

With a very sweet and intense flavor, the marrone is rich in protein, fiber, and vitamins. The vitamins present include C, PP, B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6), potassium, iron, calcium, and phosphorus.

The naturalness and versatility of the product make marroni the main ingredient in numerous culinary preparations, but not to be forgotten are the traditional roasted marroni and boiled marroni.

• Storage Conditions: Store the product in a cool, dry place, or in the refrigerator in the least cold compartment. Do not use plastic bags, containers, or plastic bags. For best preservation, if not consumed within a few days, we recommend freezing. You can store the fruit as is and then boil it while still frozen, or freeze it after cutting the skin and then roast it. If you prefer cooked and peeled chestnuts, you can freeze them ready to use. In both cases, the freezer shelf life is 12 months.
